a click of note

If you like me, I visited numerous sites each day ranging from news, blog, shop, discussion board, travel site and much more.

One day you may want to book a seat in your favourite cinema through the link that you have in only2clicks; at the end, they gave you a booking reference and you wish you could write it somewhere for quick look up.
Say you reserved some items from a favourite shop and again at the end they gave you yet another reference number. Ok fair enough sometime you get a copy in your inbox but would that be nice if you could just jot that somewhere?

I visited quite a few web2.0 sites recently and as usual another username and password to remember. Although 9 out of 10 I am just feeling curious and simply want to look around without storing any important data, but yet another username and password to remember.

I use discussion board a lot and I love them, I have around a 6 discussion board that I use regularly and perhaps around a dozen in total which I’ve signed up to. This means yet another 12 combinations to remember simply for replying a post.

Would that be handy if I could store it somewhere so I don’t have to use “forgot my password” feature and wait till it arrives in my email?

Now this is an important bit: We strongly advise you DO NOT store any important credentials such as online banking, account to shops that store your credit card numbers or email password.

How to add Notes?

1. Click on edit link

2. Begin type under Notes

3. Link with notes has a yellow indicator

As always we value your feedback, and feel free to give us any comments.
Enjoy!

Ads or no ads

As you all know at the bottom of every page there is a bar of google adsense. Personaly I hate adverts, but I need it somehow to keep this service alive. Should I keep it, change it, or remove it completely. YOU DECIDE!

Site name

According to Webware:
Only2Clicks is one of the few Web services I've seen lately whose name tells exactly what it does....

Aren't we tired of cryptic name for web services which is labeled as web 2.0 ?
How about droogle, fluriyl, groomsk ?

I know it is almost impossible to find a free domain with some meaningful words these days unless you are backed up by multi-million dollars funding to buy domain name from some one who has bought it previously thinking they could make some fortune by doing it so.
It reminds me of Kevin Han as reported by Business 2.0 magazine that he made a fortune by buying hundreds of mistyped famous domain names.

It took me ages to came up with the right name for this services and one day I came up with only2clicks. I really love it, it has strong message about simplicity and it does only take 2 clicks to do anything on the site. At the end of the day it might be a simple luck that the name is still available, otherwise I might run out of ideas and ends up with some weird name.

Thanks webware!

A Little Bit Of Help

Hacking the Search Box

Don't you know that you can personalized the search box by hacking the existing one?

For instance we provide you with "google.com" search engine and you may want to create localized UK version.

Step 1: Add standard search box by choosing from pre-made selections. on this case "GOOGLE"

Step 2: Click on edit link to edit the search box

Step:3 Change under URL to http://www.google.co.uk/ and under actions="http://www.google.com/search" to actions="http://www.google.co.uk/search"

Press "Submit" and Voila! Your own localized search box.

You can extend this further by hacking the html search form or change the image.
Happy Hacking!

New feature: Search Box !

First of all I would like to thank Brian for his brilliant idea.
This is probably one of the most significant and exciting additions to only2clicks since beta is released.

Simply by choosing “SEARCH BOX” tab after clicking on normal (+) icon on the left corner.
You can now add new search box as well as add the normal web links in Only2clicks (literally!)

With this new feature you can type your search keywords directly on the search box without the need going to their website in the first place. One more less click you need to do in daily browsing.

At the launch of this new feature we have 14 most popular search box ready to use, ranging from amazon to wikipedia. Feel free to suggest new search box on this blog and BIG thank you for your feedback and support to this project.

Currently our member-base is constantly growing and recently only2clicks has been chosen as one of the Top 100 Undiscovered Web Sites.
