New Feedback Comments

Our old feedback comments are getting a little crowded. There has been massive improvement since beta is launch, we are now have drag and drop support and search box feature. I thought I am going to start a new feedback box here.

A method of moving links from tab to tab would be helpful. Or perhaps an 'all' tab that would show all of a user's links.

Thanks

It would be really useful if there were a link to view your page without a password, though you would still need to log in to add/change things. For those who are too concerned about privacy, they could turn it off.

Charsets needs to be investigated. My name contains the char 'ö' (o with oumlats) and doesn't display correctly. When I type the HTML code for the chars (ö) it displays nicely in the "Update"-line saying 'Mikael Grön is our new member no 3599', but up to the left it says something like GRApN (A having a tilde on top and p being a paragraph sign).

Hi, tks for your service, for a long time i wanted something this simple!

I'd like to add my 2 cents.

- Would be great to have an option for list view.

- I like the sub categories idea.

- I wrote some comments on sites, but can't find where to read them

I think that's it, tks again!

be able to drag a link to a different tab.

Blogger Jonathan said...

DIdnt have time to read the other ones. Really like this website, but very small problems. Why does my bookmarks disapprear even though i am on my account and on the same computer using the same explorer (firefox)? 2. need to be able to size the boxes or just the links: then you could have columns on one page of the different tabs then it would be truly two clicks for everything. I know the aesthetics would decrease but some people might want the feature. at least have the option. 3. be able to send other people a link that automatically adds my page to their account? Thanks

This is a great service. My comments are:

1. The ability to move a link to a different category (ideally drag and drop) would be awesome.

2. The ability to create a new account based on the structure of an existing one. e.g. there are 4 of us in my team - we'd all like to use the same basic categories and links, and then add our own personal ones too. This is a big issue since we have more than 100 links.

Great site, awesome. Well done!
A few things that would finish it off…

Ability to import bookmarks exported from IE, FireFox, Camino etc (So I dont have to recreate 200plus bookmarks)

Ability to add in dividers

Dont know if this was already said but... I think all links should be in target=_blank . Its annoying to open the link and see the bookmarks page close. And it disperses the attention and reduces usability.

Drag & drop links works great but since you have "http://" already there it gets duplicated and I have to delete the 1st 7 characters.

Not sure what "Drag this link onto homepage button" means. I couldn't find any such button. I just used make current page my home page in firefox preferences.

I'm really liking your program, especially easy to keep up with my fav sites (COUGHbetterthandel.icio.usCOUGH)
Hope to see user created backgrounds.

Had an idea for you, one I think you would be perfect for.

the idea is an Online list maker.
one that would work in a similar manner to only2clicks in that if a person wanted to make a wishlist... they simply need to save the URL of the item and a way to send copies of the list to others. Also it would allow free text lists for anything from gorcery lists to personal notes.

Anyway, I thought I'd toss the idea to you and see what you thought.

Keep up the good work.
Cheers!

Passwort is cut after registration (10 chars) and then of course wrong when you try to log in the first time. So ABCDEFGHIJKLM will automatically be set to ABCDEFGHIJ by your server.

Then in Firefox (2.0.0.9 German) this message is shown everytime you delete a website

Fehler: Components is not defined
Quelldatei: chrome://browserrecord/content/urilistener.js
Zeile: 334

I like the concept but very much beta and I can't use the site in this state.

Feedback in a blogger comment section seems not very "professional" to me.

Sorry that's just my opinion.

Best Regards from Germany

I fell upon only2clicks yesterday and loved it. I set everything up and went to sleep and couldn't wait for my family to see it as the homepage. The next day they got on and it opened on the login page and they had no idea what it was and just kept moving.

Having to log in adds to the clicks I have to do. Why sign in and then go to google if it's easier to type in google.com than email and password.

It would be awesome if you could choose whether it needs to be accessed by a password or not.

Good app, just tried it. BUT, I imported my own bookmarks and it made tabs/categories of some folders w links inside but a whole bunch of links that was inside other folders was made in to their own tabs/categories, that is normal links. So instead of maybe 15 categories that I had (mainfolders) I now have uncountable... 60? And to take those away seems to be only possible one cat by one categorie wich seems to take forever! I need a delete all links/tabs/categories in one go and start from fresh! Not going to sit for 1 hour and delete categories. So wont be using this for now.

I've been using only2clicks for a while and can't live without it now.

One thing I believe that should be worked on is the function button.

I constantly click the stuff in there by mistake as the menu shows on mouse over. This is frustrating sometimes especially when i mistakenly moved one site into other directories.

I believe a perfect solution will be, Instead of showing the menu on mouse over, just simply show it by clicking on the little icon. This will eliminate misclicks.

Good job Only2Clicks, oh and hopefully more skins will come out. I really enjoy the black theme atm.

its a fabulous idea but here are 2 suggestions:
1. the possibility of themes: to let us choose ate least the background color or use an image as background. that will make a theme.
why a theme? because is the homepage, the website you see most of the day, you want to personalize it.
also the possibility to add our own search engines, for example, I would like to have yahoo answers as a search engine.

Please at least respond to say if this is ever going to be resolved, or if I should give up this hope. I am using firefox 2.0.0.12 but have also tried it with IE7 and it just does nothing. Michael,

There have been a number of requests for a search function that will locate your desired bookmarklet wherever it's located on your Only2Clicks desktop. That would be immensely helpful for users that make heavy usage of the great tool. Is that feature planned?

Also, is there a way to export the URL's you create bookmarklet's for, or otherwise backup your saved URL's?

Please respond...

It's actually amazing since I actually had exactly the same idea as yours, and I mean exactly. In any case I am happy that someone implemented it. Just a few comments, not sure if anyone mentioned it before.
First, it would be great if the thumbnails could update itself, will be extremely useful for say news website, when I only want to look at the headlines maybe.
Second, the speed is a bit slow, will be much better if its quicker.
Third, it will be great to have a single search box where I can simply put in my search and it will be automatically fed to all the search engines I use, so I don't need to go through each of them.
In any case, great idea, and great work! Keep going! I have faith in you!

Two ideas:

Use Ajax to move links/thumbnails by dragging and dropping between tabs and their position on the page.

Use Uservoice, Get Satisfaction, or Suggestion Box for feedback rather than creating one long page that consequently takes a while to load if there are a lot of comments.

Also why so many Windows adverts? I'm not even on Windows and have no Windows related thumbnails.

* The scaling of the image doesn't work so well. It would be nice if you just center the image provide and scale it to fit in the correct number of pixels in whichever direction is more too big (bad english).
* I would like to be able to pull out the images that I have provided so I can share them with others.

This is a great service. I've been using it almost exclusively for my bookmarks for over a year now. I wanted to put my 2 cents in for subcategories - with these this service would be near perfect.

One 'bug' that is annoying is the necessity to carefully edit the name of a title before hitting the 'Add to only2clicks' add button when using the bookmarklet. If for instance the name has 2 or more '//' in the title then you cannot edit, move or delete the bookmark once it is created. I've got 3 of these so far and the only way to get rid of them seems to be deleting the entire category ...

I would like to be able to alphabetize my categories. It's very laborious to move them manually.
Maybe I've missed something, but moving them one step at a time and then the page jumps up to the top and having to scroll down and repeat this process is nuts. It would be nice to have an alphabetize button for the categories, to click like you have with the sites under each.

To the programmers of Only2Clicks, I believe I have found a bug:
I moved a link from one tab to another. When I did this all of my links in the first tab disappeared. (As in gone, they didn't appear in the tab I moved the first link to).

I already left a comment about this on the feedback page. However, it gets a little more interesting.

Remember the link I first moved to a different tab, which is what caused all the problems? When I move it BACK to the first tab, all of the links in the first tab that disappeared suddenly reappear.

my email is nickdanzinger@hotmail.com if you'd like to discuss this further.

I have been using your bookmarklet for some time, now, and have found it to be a very useful feature. All of a sudden (in the past couple of days), the bookmarklet is not working properly. Every time I try to use it, it tells me that I am not logged-in. Even though I am certain that I AM logged-in (my home page is visible in another tab), I tried to log-in, using the box that pops up when I try to use the bookmarklet. For some reason, it does not process my log-in attempt.

Can anyone please help me with this?

More skins would be cool, but not if it sacrifices the overall simplicity of this app. I LOVE this- it's doing exactly what I wanted- making my regular browsing easier! Drag and drop doesn't seem to be working, but I'm sure that won't last long. Kudos.

Delete does not work!

Any suggestions? I want to put my own sites on the various tabs, rather than the default ones.

Peace and Love to you for this nice interface,
DeeJay

Just a quick note to say "THIS SITE IS BRILLIANT". There is so much hyped and rubbish out there that when I was referred to this one it made my day!!
THanks Only2Clicks...I will highly recommend you.

Thanks for a great free service.

Would be nice if sites I deleted were saved as list of text or links.

Consider sorting these comments so the latest is at top of list.

I would love to be able to upload a picture thumbnail directly when using the Add Page bookmarklet- and perhaps be able to provide an URL to a thumbnail image rather than upload one? Also the ability to resize the thumbnails would be fantastic.

Small niggles aside, I'm absolutely loving it! Keep up the good work!

Hi,
I'm totally addicted to your service. I was one of the first supporters of your site.
The system is sending me this fatal error and I can't access my bookmarks. Looks like I reach the maximum bookmarks.
What can I do?
Thanks

I would like to echo an earlier comment, asing that you provide us with the ability to creat sub-tabs (or folders). That way, under a "Food & Beverage" tab (for example), we could have "Wine", "Recipes", "Diets", etc.

Love the service. This is something I would pay a small monthly fee for. However, it's really annoying that the links open in the same window. Which means I have to back-click in the browser to get back to the main page. really inconvenient. I sthere a way to make them "blank" links so they open in a new window?

I love this service! It is a great help to me. One thing irritating me is that every link in one of my tabs is missing. I tried to repopulate the ones I could remember, but I'm told that 'You already have this page on category you selected'.

Also, is it possible to put a bit longer time on hovering over the option for moving links? I am always moving them to different tabs because I'm in too much of a hurry.

Thanks.

I am enjoying this product. It works great on FireFox and Chrome. However, it looses its tabs when using opera browser 10.6. I only get the tabs when running Opera at maximized.

Hello,
I am a library media specialist at Newington High School in Newington, CT. We are creating some materials to encourage teachers to integrate web tools into their instruction and assessment. To that end, I am hoping to get your permission to use the Only2Clicks logo/image as part of that effort.

Thank you very much for your consideration and I look forward to your response.

Sincerely,
Brian Hartley
